The blue/silver variant is paired with 60° Open Face optics, an Edison power connector, and is complemented by a manually operated yoke mount.
With a processor four times swifter than the Skypanel, the ARRI 190-LED Spectra system opens the door to an extensive array of colors, facilitated by its six-color light engine incorporating red, green, blue, amber, cyan, and lime LEDs. Exhibiting a remarkable CRI of 98 and TLCI of 95, it embraces a color temperature range spanning 2000 to 20,000K, catering to diverse lighting scenarios. Additionally, its 100 to 0% dimming capability is seamlessly adjustable for fluid transitions. The light houses a multitude of sensors, including a smart color sensor mode for precise color accuracy, a 3-axis accelerometer sensing pan, tilt, and roll movements, an ambient light sensor ensuring optimal display visibility, heat sensors for thermal control, and even a magnetometer for spatial orientation.
The ARRI Orbiter boasts an exceptionally portable design, allowing effortless optics changes through ARRI’s Quick Lighting Mount (QLM), akin to a camera lens mount. Optics choices encompass 15, 30, and 60° open face optics for directional beams, 15, 25, and 35° projection optics producing sharp, focused beams with even color dispersion, as well as small, medium, and large domes delivering expansive soft lighting. For added flexibility, the light accommodates additional light banks, barndoors, honeycombs, and light-shaping accessories with the appropriate adapter.
Harnessing the power of ARRI’s Lighting Operating System (LiOS), you can seamlessly manage color modes, effects, and lighting grids via the integrated control panel. LiOS showcases eight color modes, including CCT, HSO, RGBACL, Gel select, X/Y coordinates, source matching, effects, and a customizable mode storing over 240 favorites for application through DMX or interface. Three operational modes—high color rendering, high output, and low noise—allow tailored performance. The light’s luminous control panel is detachable and can be operated remotely using the included 15-foot extension cable. An array of interfaces, from 5-pin DMX in and out to LAN ports, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, and an SD slot for future upgrades, assures seamless connectivity. The sync input further paves the way for future camera synchronization.
Powering the light is effortlessly achieved via its internal power supply, utilizing a powerCON AC cable, or through a DC source via a 3-pin XLR connector. Weatherproof and resistant to dust and water splashes, the light's enhanced mounting points secure the accompanying yoke for positioning with a /-90° tilt. The yoke features a standard 1 1/8″ Junior pin mounting point.
